This comforting noodle soup was served to marching bands during fiestas, thus the name. The llocano mili makes a big difference in the dish. You can find this varity at the Vigan public markets in llocos and at the Centris Sunday market-look for the stall selling llocano products

Serves 2 Prep Time 15 minutes
Cooking Time 15 minutes



Pancit musiko ingredients: 1 tablespoon cooking oil. 1 tablespoon minced garlic. 2 tablespoons minced onion. 1/4 cup diced meat. 1 teaspoon atsuete oil. 1/4 cup boiled and diced chicken breast. 2 to 3 cups chicken stock. 1/2 cup llocano miki. Salt and pepper, to taste. 2 stalks green onion, cut into 1-inch lengths. 1 tablespoon dried garlic chips

Pancit musiko recipe: 1- Heat oil in a pot and saute garlic until golden brown. Add onions and cook until translucent. 2- Add meat; cook until tender and fat has rendered. Add atsuete oil and chicken; saute for 2 minutes. 3- Add chicken stock and bring to a boil. Add noodles and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until the noodles are tender and the soup has thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 4- Transfer to serving bowls and top with green onions and crunchy garlic. By then, the pancit musiko is ready
