Dishes flavorful

THE DILEMMA you want to make dishes more flavorful but you know that using globs of butter and generous glugs of oil can do you more harm than good. What's a good alternative to make dishes tasty without adding too much fat

WHAT TO DO Turn to herbs and spices instead! Use different combinations to amp up the flavor of your dishes. Create spice rubs to use for grilling or baking meat and poultry. If you opt to pan-fry, be mindful of the amount of oil you use, Instead of deep-frying meat chops or chicken, sprinkle it with rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper then pop it in the oven or fry it in nonstick pan with less than a tablespoon of oil, Try steaming fish in parchment paper parcels or foil packets with herbs, spices and aromatics. Herbs and spices have medicinal properties, too. Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, rosemary stimulates the immune system, and thyme is used to cure coughs and colds
