Pastel de lengua recipe and ingredients

Pastel de lengua ingredients: 1 PC medium-sized ox tongue about 1 kilo. 2 sachets MAGGI MAGIC SARAP 8g. 3 tablespoons butter. 1 PC large onion, chopped. 1 can cream of mushroom soup. 1 pack NESTLE Cream 250 ml. 1 can sliced button mushroom, strained. 1/2 cup reserved stock. 1 pack frozen flaky pastry, thawed

Pastel de lengua recipe: 1- Place the ox tongue and MAGGI MAGIC SARAP in a stockpot, cover with water, and simmer for 1-2 hours or until the ox tongue becomes fork tender. 2- Remove the ox tongue becomes from the heat, let cool, and slice it diagonally. Reserve the stock. 3- In a large pan, sauté the chopped onions in butter then add the cream of mushroom soup, cream, canned mushrooms, reserved stock, ox tongue, and MAGGI MAGIC SARAP. Let simmer for another 10-15 minutes. 4- Transfer the cooked lengua into an ovenproof serving dish then roll out the flaky pastry dough to cover the dish. Pinch the edges of the dough, brush the top with beaten egg, and makes slits to allow steam to escape. 5- Bake in a preheated 400F oven for 15-20 minutes, or until crust turns golden brown in color
