Homemade Ketchup ingredients: 2 tablespoons olive. 1 medium onion, chopped. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon tomato paste. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon ground mustard. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. a small pinch ground cloves. 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice. 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes with juice. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Homemade Ketchup recipe: 1- Place a saucepan big enough to fit all your ingredients over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add onions and sauté until they are soft and beginning to brown. Add garlic and cook for a few more minutes, making sure it does not burn. 2- Add tomato paste, salt, mustard, paprika, cloves, and allspice. Stir until everything is incorporated and the spices are fragrant, about a minute. 3- Add tomatoes, sugar, and vinegar; stir to combine. Lower heat and cook over a slow simmer for about 45 minutes or until the mixture thickens to a ketchup-like consistency. (Take not that, at this point, it won't be as smooth as ketchup). Stir occasionally to make sure the mixture doesn't stick to the pan or burn. 4- Remove pan from heat and let cool slightly. Use an immersion blender or transfer t a regular blender to process the mixture until smooth. Strain the mixture, then taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Store in sterilized glass jars in the refrigerator for up to a month

Tip: Want to give this as a gift? Just pour the ketchup into sterilized bottles and jars. Then decorate with ribbon or twine. Don't forget to be stored in the refrigerator
