A few slices of dill pickle are a delicious addition to this
burger. You can also use sliced Brie instead of Swiss cheese
Turkey Burgers |
Makes 8 Prep Time 10 minutes, plus chilling time Cooking
Time 25 minutes
Turkey Burgers ingredients: 1/2 kilo turkey breast, chopped.
1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs (see tip). 1 small onion, finely chopped. 2
tablespoons chopped parsley. 1 egg, lightly beaten. 1 garlic clove, crushed.
Salt and pepper, to season. 1 tablespoon oil. 8 slices Swiss cheese. 1 large
ciabatta or focaccia loaf, split and cut into 8 pieces. 1/2 cup cranberry
sauce. 100 grams alfalfa sprouts
Turkey Burgers recipe: 1- In a bowl, combine turkey, breadcrumbs,
onion, parsley, egg and garlic, Mix well using clean hands. Season to taste.
Divide into 8 even-sized flattened patties. Arrange on a tray and chill until
required. 2- Heat oil in a large frying pan on medium. Cook patties for 5 to 6
minutes. Flip over each patty and top each with a cheese slice. Cook for
another 5 to 6 minutes. Drain on paper towels. 3- Spread cranberry sauce on top
of once slice of bread. Fill with one turkey patty and sprouts. Top with
another slice of bread. Repeat with remaining ingredients
Tip: Make breadcrumbs using day-old bread: simply remove
crusts, break into pieces. And process in a food in a food processor until fine
crumbs are formed
