Turtle Brownies ingredients: 3/4 cup butter, cubed. 130 grams bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped. 1 and 1/2 cups sugar. 3 large eggs. 1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup cocoa powder

Ingredients for the caramel filling: 1 (300-gram) pack kraft caramels, chopped into smaller bits (available at Rustan's Supermarket). 1/3 cup heavy cream. 1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

Turtle Brownies recipe: 1-Perheat oven to 325F. Grease an 8-inch square pan and line the bottom with parchment paper, allowing 2 inches to hang over two sides. 2- Using a double boiler, melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat. 3- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, combine melted chocolate mixture and sugar. Mix until well combined. 4- Add eggs one at a time, scraping the sides of the bowl after each addition. Add vanilla extract. 5- Ina separate bowl, combine flour and cocoa powder. Add gradually to the chocolate mixture and continue mixing until thoroughly combined. 6- Make the caramel filling: Using a double boiler, melt caramel together with cream. Stir until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. 7- Assemble the brownies: Pour half the chocolate batter into the prepared pan. Spread the batter evenly with a offset spatula. Carefully pour the caramel filling on top, making sure not to muddle the first layer. Sprinkle chopped pecans all over the caramel layer. 8- Pour remaining chocolate batter on top. Spread evenly and smooth surface with a spatula. 9- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out with moist crumbs attached. Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack. 10- Cut into 2-inch squares Brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature up to 4 to 6 days
