Glazed Apple and Kesong Puti Salad recipe and ingredients

With a mixture of sweet, salty, and sour flavors, this salad is a refreshing upgrade on the usual fruit and cheese platter

Serve 4 to 6 Prep Time 20 minutes Cooking Time 20 minutes

Ingredients for the glazed apples: 2 apples cored and sliced into 1/2-inch rounds. 1 tablespoon butter, softened

Ingredients for the fried kesong puti: 2 (200-gram) block kesong puti, cut into 1/2-inch wedges. 1/4 cup flour, seasoned with salt and pepper. 1 egg, lightly beaten. 1/4 cup japanese breadcurmbs. Oil, for deep-frying

Ingredients for the dressing: 1 kaffir lime leaft, finely minced. 1/2 cup lime juice. 1/4 cup olive oil. Salt and pepper, to taste. 300 grams mixed greens ( we used baby romaine, lollo rosso, and arugula), washed and dried. Chopped pistachios

Glazed Apple and Kesong Puti Salad recipe: 1- Make the glazed apples: Preheat oven to 350F. Spread butter on apples and bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes or until apples are golden and tender. 2- Make the fried kesong puti: Coat kesong puti in flour, dredge in egg, and coat in breadcrumbs, Deep-fry in hot oil until golden. Drain on paper towels. 3- Make the lime dressing: Whisk together all ingredients until combined. 4- Arrange mixed greens, glazed apples, kesong puti, and pistachios on a plate. Drizzle with lime dressing. serve with extra dressing on the side
