Dress up fish fillets with the flavors of bold curry powder and zest oranges

Fish fillet with mandarin oranges ingredients: 1 egg white. 2 teaspoons rice. salt and pepper, to taste. 1/2 kilo white fish fillets (lapu-lapu, cream dory, or labahita), sliced into 2-inch pieces. 3 tablespoons cornstarch. oil for frying. 1 and 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1 large onion, cut into 1/2-inch thick wedges. 2 teaspoons mild curry powder. 1 small can mandarin orange segments, drained and juice reserved. 1 tablespoon sugar. 1 tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tablespoons calamansi juice. 3 tablespoons almonds, chopped. Fish fillet with mandarin oranges recipe: 1- Beat egg white in a medium bowl. Add rice, salt and pepper. Add fish and mix gently. Sprinkle cornstarch to coat the fillets. 2- Fry fish in hot oil until crisp and golden brown. Drain on paper towels and set aside. 3- Heat oil in a saucepan. Saute onions until translucent. Add curry powder and juice from canned mandarin oranges. Add sugar. Thicken with the cornstarch-calamansi mixture. Bring to a boil. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. 4- Place fish fillets in a shallow bowl and pour the sauce over. Toss gently to coat. Add oranges. Sprinkle almonds and chopped green onions on top.
